Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 2026
Jay’s Lost Pet respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we may collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
The FTC recommends businesses understand what personal information they hold, collect only what they need, protect it, dispose of it appropriately, and maintain a response plan for security incidents.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the website, we may collect information such as:
Contact information, including your name, email address, phone number, city, and state.
Pilot application information, including business name, website, social-media profiles, service area, equipment, experience, certifications, insurance information, pricing information, and application responses.
Verification information, including notes from phone interviews, documents voluntarily provided to verify business or pilot information, and verification status.
Background-screening information, when applicable. Sensitive information required for formal background screening should generally be collected directly by the screening provider rather than through Jay’s Lost Pet whenever practical.
Pet-owner inquiries, including information you voluntarily provide when contacting us or requesting assistance.
Donation or transaction information. Payment processors may collect payment-card and billing information. Jay’s Lost Pet generally does not receive complete payment-card numbers.
Newsletter information, such as your email address and subscription preferences.

However, no website, database, email system, or internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Users should avoid sending highly sensitive personal information through ordinary website forms or email unless specifically requested through an appropriate secure process.
